Melissa completed a Masters of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University Bendigo in 2018. She has experience in working with children in private practice settings, conducting face-to-face intervention and telehealth services. She has worked closely with families to achieve their communication goals, ensuring sessions are engaging and motivating for the child. She has experience supporting various aspects of speech, language and communication development, including articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency and pragmatics. Melissa is trained in, stuttering treatment (The Lidcombe Program), Key Word Sign, Little Learners Love Literacy and Read3 programs. She has completed training in paediatiric feeding foundations, critical communication skills, emotional regulation and providing therapy via telehealth. Melissa has completed additional training with working with children with speech sound disorders, diagnosing Developmental Language Disorders, working with children on the autism spectrum and pathological demand avoidance (PDA).
